I am registered therapist, and I am passionate to learn and support cross-cultural, multicultural families and individuals who struggle in settling, growing, and thriving.
I worked in the project management industry for almost 10 years helping people overcome conflicts,
improve communication, and express needs and interests to achieve the same goals. I found my passion is supporting people through changes, challenges to overcome the obstacles, find their values, achieve their goals, and find the purpose of their lives.
Even with some training from a human resource management course from my master’s degree and much experience working with people from all over the world on large-scale projects, I was curious about how psychology, sociology, and biology form, impact, drive, damage and heal humans.
I decided to come back to school and got counselling training to be a professional counsellor to equip myself to be more updated, have deeper knowledge and have effective tools to work with people.
After training, I’ve been practicing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, and suicide intervention to support clients in therapeutic counselling space to be heard, empathized with, and explore themselves. From there, I support clients to develop new coping skills to overcome their life challenges and thrive.
I am SEP in training (Somatic Experiencing by Peter Levine).
I have done Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT by Sue Johnson) – Externship and level 2 Core Skills.
When I have free time, I like to get involved in my son’s school projects, community’s projects to connect people, and spend time with my family walking, hiking, camping, gardening, and making food to share with friends. I also like meditation, reading, writing, and playing guitar.
